Mother's Day

On Saturday night I gave Kelly some 'ground rules' for Mother's Day. They were as follows

1) I will not be left alone with Ethan to watch him. (otherwise this will be like every other day of the week). Kelly thought he would go to the gym, get his hair cut and do a few other things. Well in Kelly time that would have take (not kidding) four hours.

2)Do not ask me what is for dinner

3)I don't want to sit around all day like I do everyday.

So I must say Kelly did one heck of a good job.

Ethan woke up at 8, Kelly nudged me a few times, but i refused to move. So finally Kelly cracked and went and got Ethan. He fed Ethan, and while he did this he made me eggs and pancakes for breakfast. Delicious.

We all played for awhile, then Ethan went for a nap, so i told Kelly he could go out and leave the baby with me, seeing as he was sleeping. Well, Ethan and I both had a two hour nap. Ethan woke up just as Kelly was walking in the door, it was perfect. Kelly had bought me flowers and a card and food for both lunch and dinner.

Kelly had a plan, his plan was to go to Devon and have a picnic on the river. I thought this was a great plan, so he packed everything up in the cooler and off we went. We hooked Ethan's chair up to the table and had a great and relaxing lunch and then went for a walk along the river. It was awesome.

It started pouring on our drive home so we had gone at the perfect time. Again, both Ethan and I had a nap when we got home. At about 5 Kelly started dinner, steak, corn and potatoes. Also delicious. This was right when the hail and torential downpour of rain started. So poor Kelly was bbqing in the rain.

We watched the hockey game, (wahoo they won) then watched the Amazing Race finale (wish the cowboys had won) then went to sleep! I'd say it was perfect. I wouldn't have wanted anything more. We also discussed going on a picnic every Sunday!

Now i have to try to think of something just as great to do for Father's Day in June!!
