Wyatt's first car ride (aside from the trip home from the hospital)
Our first family road trip, into town to buy a glider and another bassinet. We found an awesome glider, but haven't found a good bassinet yet. I want another one for downstairs when Kelly leaves, so I can have my hands free. We have a swing and a bouncy chair but they are a little too 'Ethan friendly'. Not that Ethan will do anything but I don't want toys being flung at Wyatt or for him to be pushed in the swing just yet. We are also on the lookout for a bigger family vehicle. I've never wanted a mini van (and I still am against them) but I definately understand the functionality of them. I'm still pushing for the Pathfinder.
Ethan creating a beautiful picture at his 'Time to Play' class. Granny took him today, it sounds like he had a grea time with all the kids.
We went out to Wabamun yesterday, it was a beautiful day! Ethan stayed in the stroller for about five minutes then decided he would rather help Grandad push the stroller.
Our first 'semi-ok' family photo. Ethan is very gentle with Wyatt, hasn't learned his name yet and just calls him 'baby'. Ethan has just learned to 'fist bump'. He has to fist bump everyone, the other night he went over to Wyatt and 'fist bumped' him. It was very cute.

Wyatt's first bath. Screamed at first, calmed down for a few minutes and then continued to scream loudly until Kelly finished the bath. We were hoping that waking him up during the day to bath him and just have him awake would help with his nighttime sleeping. No such luck.
Wyatt and I in our new Glider! I didn't have one with Ethan and wow does it ever make a difference for middle of the night feedings. Wyatt is much different than Ethan in terms of sleeping patterns. I thought Ethan was a 'normal' sleeper when he was a baby. Apparently I was way off, and Wyatt is the normal one. Wyatt is nocturnal, sleeps ALL day (Only two to three feedings all day) and awake for most of the night. For the past three nights I have gotten about 6 hours sleep total. He is a snuggler, once he has eaten i put him back in the bassinet, once he realizes he is in there he cries and won't fall asleep until he is nestled right on one of our chests.
Awhh Leslie... I your family is just perfect:) I love the new pictures of the Wyatt & Ethan! We may still have a mini van for you hehehe!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a bassinett to loan but I do have a baby chair for new borns if you'd like. It''s Ethan friendly hehehe. It doesn't move so Wyatt won't get tossed around LOL. Let me know if you'd like to use it:)
