Who Needs Sleep?

Off to Ikea.
Picking Flowers.

Ethan is very happy to be leaving the house. Granny bought him a new vest yesterday. I tell you these two boys have been very spoiled the past week.

Breakfast at Ikea, it is only ONE dollar for hasbrowns, sausage and eggs. Ethan had two pancakes. I think to feed us all was only 9 dollars.

Grandad thought Wyatt's shoes would be too big, in reality they are huge, but very cute and this way we can wear them longer!

Apparently the Adidas store was having a huge sale. My dad came home with two huge bags of clothes. New shoes for Ethan and Wyatt, lucky boys!

Well last night we had a small success, Wyatt didn't sleep anymore than usual, but when he did sleep he slept in his bassinett. One small step forward. Wyatt also had his first projectile vomit, he doens't spit up at all, but for some reason last night after Kelly had changed his poop and pee, Kelly put him down and and got a massive throw up all over him.... At least there was some comic relief in the middle of the night! He has again been sleeping for most of the day so hopefully sleep will come tonight, I was a walking zombie today. Today was also the day we decided we would get up and leave at 8:30 and have breakfast at Ikea. It is so dark in the morning it felt like 3 in the morning when we finally hit the road.

The ikea breakfast was delicious, Ethan ate everything, (not surprise I guess). We managed to get through the showroom before both the boys had small meltdowns and it was time to go. We sent Kelly into the bathroom to change Ethan and caught him on the way out with Wyatt who needed to be changed. Ethan took one of the sanitary 'mints' they put in the unrinals, so that is gross, too bad there was no camera in the bathroom (that would be extremely wrong I know but I just would like to have seen Kelly's reaction).

I attempted a nap this afternoon, actaully Kelly, Ethan, Wyatt and I all slept for about an hour, Ethan was the first up and then Wyatt, so Kelly and I were forced awake. Kelly and my dad did all of the tasks that needed to get done. My parents are leaving tomorrow :(. I'm so sad, they have been such a great help. It is really too bad they can't just be here with me every other week.

Time for Tea, then hopefully a small amount of sleep. Crossing my fingers for a good night!

  1. As strange as it sounds, I really miss those first days with the new baby, so I love reading your blog, Leslie. Your boys are both so precious! It's hard, but W will figure it out (sleeping at night) eventually. Hang in there, you're doing so great!
