It has been a tough couple of nights. Last night I didn't get Wyatt to bed until around two. It was a blizzard outside and we had to be at the doctors at nine. I knew it was going to be a rusehd morning. Wyatt woke up at 5:54. I fed him and he fell back to sleep. I didn't think I had the time to go back to sleep so I put Wyatt in his bouncy chair and perched right at the window at the front door. I suited up and headed outside to shovel the driveway and front steps. THere was quite a bit of snow and I was worried I wasn't going to make it up the hill.
I thought I would have to wake Ethan up, but he started crying at 7:30. Usually I would let him go back to bed but I scooped him up, changed him and headed for breakfast. Ethan is on some sort of food strike, he won't eat anything, he just kind of sits and plays with his food and demands 'JUUUUUICE". (By the way mother, this is a habit I completely blame on you, juice is the reason for most of Ethan's mental breakdown and tantrums). NO MORE JUICE!
Anyways I piled everyone in the car and we headed to Virginia's. Molly the Mazda really pulled through for us, wer slipped a few times and sprayed a few cars with our starts but we made it. Ethan was going to stay at Virginia's while Wyatt and I went to the doctors. Ethan doesn't have the best behavior track record at the doctor. I had purposely booked the first appointment of the day thinking there was no way they could be late already, well WRONG. My doctor had been at the hospital delivering the night before so we waited, then waited some more. They finally took us in to get Wyatt's, weight and height. My little tank is following in his brothers footsteps. 75th percentile for weight at a whopping 11.9 pounds. After they weighed him they told me to just wrap him in a blanket and just head back out to the waiting room until a room became available. So we head back out, just as I sat down Wyatt let out a very large and gross toot.... leaking out the sides, onto the blanket. I just left it, thinking we were going to whisked away to a room right away. WRONG. Finally when they did come get us Wyatt had fallen back to sleep. so I changed him, the doctor came in and checked him out. All is well, I told her that he won't sleep on his back, only on me in the middle of the night (even after my marathon attempt to make him sleep in his bassinet) or in his bouncy chair on an incline. So she gave me a medicine to try for 'reflux' since he spits up often and is quite gurggly and snorty, so we will see if it helps. She had to examine me, so she told me to get Wyatt dressed and for me to undress and she would be right back. So I did this, put the sheet over me and Wyatt in his carseat, seriously like half an hour later (and me just sitting there naked and waiting) the doctor returned. Now don't get me wrong I love my doctor, but COME on... I don't like lateness! Finally all done and we were headed to Superstore to get our perscriptions filled.
I got in an arm waving match with a lady in a minivan in the superstore parking lot. She was upset because I pulled into a spot, not big enough for two cars but bigger than a one car spot. She thought she would have fit in there too. She lifted her arms at me like "What the hell" and I simply turned and looked at her and pointed to the THREE spots all around us that were also available. Come on lady, why be a cow when you are just to lazy to walk the extra four steps. She glared at me, I was hoping to bump into her in the store so we could argue it out, but that never happened.
So we came home for lunch, Wyatt has been sleeping for ages. I tried to feed Ethan lunch but he just pushed his waterbottle into the chilli to make a massive mess and ate nothing. So he is down for his nap. It seems like I don't have enough hours in a day to get all the things i need to get done, done. Christmas cards, Christmas presents etc.
Kelly has decided to stay for 16 days, which I think is a good idea, this will ease his mind about the next mastercard bills. My parents are heading out here next week so it will be great, I can finally get a routine going at the gym!
